The Lagos State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), has said the third #LaPRIGA Awards, (Lagos PR Industry Gala and Awards), themed: The HATTRICK, will hold at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos on Thursday December 20, 2018.
Inaugurated two years ago by what is clearly the NIPR leading branch, the #LaPRIGA Awards is the high-profile red bow-tie event which has evolved to become communications industry Oscars aimed at recognising excellence, celebrating practitioners, corporates and stakeholders via awards dinner, and to boost professionalism and more investment in the practice.
A statement by Olusegun McMedal for the Lagos chapter said #LaPRIGA is a complete immersive experience presenting in its true essence a celebration of musical artistry, depth and richness as well as spectacular visuals and fine dining by a top international chef, accompanied by soothing soul music and drama from popular acts.
“Another special highlight of the event is the presentation of #LaPRIGA Awards to practitioners and corporate bodies in recognition of their professional excellence and contribution to the development of the profession over the years. The prizes will be administered by the Advisory Board of #LaPRIGA made up of individuals with impeccable character and requisite academic and professional accomplishments,” said the statement.
The event will also feature a drama presentation titled #AutiConnect, a special advocacy project to increase awareness, acceptance, respect and support for people living with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).
“It is estimated that 190,000 children in Nigeria suffer from Autism (Nigerian census and C.D.C report 2007). This figure has doubled due to the increase in population and low awareness, knowledge and expertise required to stem the tide,” said the statement.
Expected at this event are about 200 finest crème-de-la-crème in the communications profession in agencies, government, corporates, and not-for-profit, including media personalities, academia and C-Suite executives from across different sectors and industries in Nigeria.
Brand Communicator, BrandCrunch.com, Happenings Media, africantravelmarkets.com and BISCON TV are the Official Media Partners of the third #LaPRIGA Awards.
The MTN Foundation, Promasidor, Dufil Prima Foods, Airtel Nigeria, First Bank, Guaranty Trust Bank, Chevron Nigeria, Nigerian Breweries and Lafarge, are proud recipients of the prestigious #LaPRIGA Awards for their extraordinary acts of giving, sharing and loving which has made a demonstrable difference in host communities and in the lives of specific persons.
