Lagos task force raids drug dealers’ hideout, 53 arrested

The Lagos State Task Force officials have arrested 53 suspected drug dealers in an operation that was carried out at the Gowon Estate, Iyana-Ipaja axis of the state.

It was learned that most of the drug dealers are also members of different cult groups.

Areas raided included the notorious 31 Road junction, Bless Jah Street, Adenle Crescent, Owo Omo Osho Street, all in Gowon Estate, and a part of Okunola Road in Mosan-Okunola Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in Alimosho Local Government Area (LGA).

The sting operation led to the arrest of 53 suspected dealers and users of illicit substances, who had turned the entire area into a safe haven for illicit drug activities.A significant quantity of different illicit drugs, including Colorado, substances suspected to be Canadian loud, hemp, tramadol capsules, codeine syrups, and several other illicit substances, were recovered from the suspects. Weighing scales, packs of Indian hemp crushers, and knives, among others, were also recovered. (Guardian)
