Traffic has a new face in Lagos and an infringement could send you to jail for a year or lead to forfeiture of your vehicle even if you are just a first time offender. Then there is the jail term for three years if you continue to break the traffic law. No doubt because of the way the traffic situation quickly goes south in the city, some residents are applauding the new measures to curb congestion on the roads. But not everyone is happy.
