The governor-elect in Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has lauded Lagosians for making an enlightened choice in Saturday’s governorship poll, which he won.
Sanwo-Olu of the All Progressives Congress said he knew that Lagosians “would choose courage over fear and select cooperation over confrontation.”
He said this on Monday after being declared winner of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission on Sunday.
Sanwo-Olu polled 739,445 votes to defeat his main challenger, Jimi Agbaje of the Peoples Democratic Party, who got 206,141 votes. Read more
