The Lagos State Signage and Advertising Agency has announced the suspension of the advertising agency whose truck was used in displaying some semi-nude strippers seductively dancing on a pole in Lagos traffic. In the statement which was signed by its Chief Executive Officer, Mobolaji Sanusi, the agency said the suspension of Provision Media System Limited would subsist until the completion of the investigation. The statement read in part, “The Lagos State Signage and Advertisement Agency has suspended, pending final investigation, the practicing Licence of an advertising firm, Provision Media System Limited, over indecent advertisement around the Lekki/Ikoyi toll gate.” Read more

Relocate headquarters to Niger Delta, Omo-Agege tells oil firms (Punch)

Deputy President of the Senate Ovie Omo-Agege has urged oil companies operating in the Niger Delta region to relocate their headquarters to the region. Mr Yomi Odunuga, his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity in a statement on Saturday in Abuja, said that Omo-Agege made the call in his hometown, Orogun in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta. Omo-Agege said that there was need for oil companies that left the region to return, given the prevailing peace and accelerating development in the region. Read more

The governor of Imo State, Emeka Ihedioha, has raised an alarm that fraudsters were impersonating him by distributing fake contractor registration forms to unsuspecting members of the public. A 100 level female undergraduate of the Ekiti State University, Ado Ekiti has been rescued from some suspected kidnappers around Atikankan area of Ado Ekiti. Sherifat Idris of the department of Physics, Faculty of Science was rescued yesterday by the Vigilante Group of Nigeria, under the leadership of Akin Olouloni through a tip off by a member of the public.
