LCAfilmfestival 2018: 3 days, 20 films, and great directors.

The Lights Camera Africa 2018 film festival is here and we can’t keep still

From September 28 to 30, 2018, guests will be treated to the best in African film

from block busters to festival favourites, documentaries to biographical sketches.

It will be an amazing 3 days culminating in October 1.

The festival will get underway with a screening of Kasala, the wave making debut film by Ema Edosio. The film has been described by Toni Kan as “ a love song composed to Lagos and the denizens of the ghettos that dot the city.”

Then there is “Agwaetiti Obiuto” the award winning directorial debut of maverick writer and now film maker, Onyeka Nwelue Tunde Kelani’s, Sidi Ilujinle, his Yoruba adaptation of Wole Soyinka, The Lion and The Jewel will also be on show

There are films that riff on single motherhood, Nigerian prostitutes in Europe, the Mediterranean crossing, death in the family, forbidden love, and many more.
