In a lavish ceremony held in Abuja, Lloyd Ekweremadu, the first son of former Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu, tied the knot with Tiffany.
The groom is serving as a commissioner in the cabinet of Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State. The bride’s parents are Mr and Mrs Obinna Uzor from Ebonyi.
The couple exchanged vows on August 19 at the Basilica of Grace Anglican Church, Gudu. The reception, held at the AIB Event Centre in Wuse 2, was attended by an array of dignitaries, including former Senate Presidents Anyim Pius Anyim, Bukola Saraki and David Mark.
Notably absent were Ekweremadu and his wife Beatrice, currently serving jail terms in the United Kingdom for their involvement in a kidney trafficking conspiracy. Despite their absence, the event was graced by numerous notable personalities, including Ebonyi State Governor Francis Nwifuru, and presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 poll Peter Obi, PDP governorship candidate in Kogi, Dino Melaye; Senators Dave Umahi, Obinna Ogba, Rafiu Ibrahim, Isa Misau, Philips Aduda, Uche Ekwunife, and Bidoun Olujimi among others.
Obi received a warm welcome from the attendees when he walked in during the church wedding.
The celebration marked a significant moment for Lloyd and Tiffany as they embarked on their journey of matrimony amidst the presence of esteemed guests from the political and social spheres.
