Liverpool ace Virgil van Dijk has hailed former Manchester United transfer target Niklas Sule ahead of Netherlands’ Euro 2020 qualifier against Germany on Friday.
Bayern Munich centre back Sule emerged as a target for the Red Devils earlier in the year, with Ed Woodward reportedly making an enquiry about a possible £40million deal for the German.
Premier League giants Manchester United ultimately turned to alternative targets, spending £80million on England international Harry Maguire, with Sule remaining at Bayern.
The 24-year-old has become a key player for both Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich and Germany and Van Dijk revealed his admiration for the star ahead of tonight’s Euro 2020 qualifier. Read more
