The plaintiff in this case, body art afficionado and model Kevin Brophy, Jr. claims that an image of his back tattoo was used for the 2016 cover of Gangsta Bitch Music Vol. 1. The artwork in question features Cardi sitting in the back of a limousine with a male model kneeling in front of her, appearing to perform oral sex.

According to Rolling Stone, in their opening statements, attorneys on both sides agreed about how an image similar to Brophy’s tattoo came to appear on the cover. Following the original photo shoot, the graphic artist who designed the cover decided to replace the model’s tattoos with a different design.

He decided to use part of a tiger and serpent image he found online, which ended up being a picture of Brophy. He testified that he believes that design to be a core piece of who he is. Read more

Production on the Western is set to pick up again with “all the original principal players on board” in January 2023 as part of a settlement with the family of Halyna Hutchins, the cinematographer who was shot and killed in 2021 during the initial filming of the movie at Bonanza Creek Ranch near Santa Fe, New Mexico. Silent Hill 2 remake announced as Konami exhumes hit horror series (Guardian)

After ten years in exile, fans of gruelling psychological horror can finally pack their bags: Silent Hill is reopening to visitors. During a YouTube presentation on Wednesday evening, Konami announced a reboot of the acclaimed sequel Silent Hill 2 and two new adventures, Silent Hill Townfall and Silent Hill F. A new movie tie-in, Return to Silent Hill, and an interactive live stream series, Silent Hill Ascension, were also teased.

The remake is being developed by the Polish studio Bloober Team, known for horror titles such as Blair Witch and The Medium. Also involved are key members of the original Silent Hill development team, including the composer Akira Yamaoka and concept artist Masahiro Ito, best known for his creation of Silent Hill’s most infamous monster, Pyramid Head.

During an interview video shown as part of the presentation, Bloober Team’s creative director, Mateusz Lenart, explained that while the studio wanted to stay true to the atmosphere of the original game, certain elements were being modified for the modern era; this would include a move from a third-person camera to an “over-the-shoulder” viewpoint. “We want the game to make the same strong impression today as the original did 21 years ago,” he explained. A post on the PlayStation blog added further details, including the game’s development using the new Unreal Engine 5. Read more

Over 40 journalists arrested in Iran since protests broke out, watchdog says (VOA)

Forty-one journalists have been confirmed detained by Iran since protests broke out last month over the death of a woman in the custody of the country’s so-called morality police.

Mahsa Amini, 22, a Kurdish woman, was arrested in September for improperly wearing her hijab. She died three days after her arrest. Iran has violently suppressed the protests that followed, and the New York-based Committee to Protect Journalists has documented that as of Wednesday, 41 journalists have been detained. A handful were later released on bail. Most are accused of taking part in the protests they were covering.

But CPJ and other journalists’ rights organizations remain concerned for those behind bars, including journalists detained in Tehran’s Evin Prison.

Four journalists believed held in Evin are still unaccounted for after a fire at the facility on Saturday, according to the International Federation of Journalists. Read more

Fernandes and Fred fire Man Utd to victory over Spurs (BBC)

Manchester United produced arguably their finest performance under manager Erik ten Hag as Tottenham were swept aside in the Premier League at Old Trafford.

The scoreline does not do justice to United’s vast superiority as only the brilliance of Spurs keeper Hugo Lloris denied them the truly emphatic victory they deserved.

Lloris made five outstanding saves in the first half alone as United rained in 19 shots on the Spurs goal, which somehow remained intact.

Fred finally broke the deadlock two minutes after the break, his shot carrying a degree of good fortune as Lloris was finally beaten by Ben Davies’ deflection, but it was no more than United deserved for a display high on quality and intensity. Read more

Liverpool 1-0 West Ham: Darwin Nunez’s 1st Anfield goal for Liverpool secures another home win for Reds (Sky)

Darwin Nunez’s first Anfield goal for Liverpool and Jarrod Bowen’s penalty miss helped Jurgen Klopp’s side back-up Sunday’s win over Manchester City with another three Premier League points in their 1-0 victory over West Ham.

The Uruguayan, like his team-mates, seems to be finding some form and thumped a first-half header into the ground and past Lukasz Fabianski for his third goal in four games – and could have had another before the break when he blasted a shot against a post.

“He’s an exceptional talent,” Liverpool boss Klopp told Amazon afterwards. “The runs, the speed, physicality and finishing skills… He has a really good technique. Sometimes he’s in a rush but we’re really excited about it. When you’re young, you have time to develop and you have to develop.”

Liverpool were dominant in that first half but they had a let-off just before the interval when Bowen struck a penalty at a comfortable height for Alisson to save, after Joe Gomez’s clumsy challenge on the Hammers’ forward was reviewed by VAR. Read more

Jonas Eidevall’s side took the lead within 13 minutes, as Beth Mead’s low cross from the right was tapped in by Caitlin Foord from just outside the six-yard box as Arsenal made a dream start.

The Gunners then doubled their advantage 10 minutes later as Stina Blackstenius’ shot was initially saved by Lyon’s Christiane Endler, but the rebound fell right to the feet of Frida Maanum, whose low shot found the bottom-right corner.

The eight-time winners of this competition then struck five minutes later to get themselves back into the game. Selma Bacha’s corner was met at the far post by Lyndsey Horan’s header, which came back off the underside of the bar. Melvine Malard reacted quickest to latch onto the loose ball and score from close-range. Read more
