A 27-year-old man, Yusuf Olatunji, on Monday appeared before an Ikorodu Magistrates’ Court, Lagos State, for allegedly stealing windows worth N650, 000.
The police arraigned Olatunji on a count charge of stealing but he pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Insp Adegeshin Famuyiwa, told the court that the defendant committed the offence sometime in August 2023 at No. 22, Lajo Village, Ikorodu.
The prosecutor said that the defendant stole 10 windows worth N650,000 from one Mr Paul Babatunde.
According to the prosecutor, the offence contravenes Section 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The Magistrate, Mr O. A. Ogbe, admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N100,000, with a surety in like sum.
Ogbe adjourned the case until Feb. 8 for mention. (NAN)
