Manchester United are considering a move for Brighton goalkeeper Mat Ryan as the club become increasingly resigned to losing David De Gea.
The Spaniard is out of contract at the end of the season, though United will trigger a 12-month extension clause in his contract if, as expected, he doesn’t sign a new deal before the New Year.
United had been confident of tying De Gea down to new terms but the turmoil at the club has convinced the 27-year-old that there’s little to gain from making a decision at this point in time.
The Red Devils have not given up hope of keeping him but have been forced into looking for replacements and Ryan is said to be heading their list, according to the Sun.
The Australian joined the Seagulls from Brighton in Valencia in 2017 for around £5million. Read more
