Mark Angel, the renowned comedian, recently addressed the controversy surrounding his protégé, Emanuella Samuel’s viral video, offering an apology and clarification on the incident that sparked mixed reactions.
In a statement shared on his Instagram page, Mark Angel expressed regret and clarified that the video was shared without his consent.
Mark Angel stated, “Dear friends and family, I want to address a situation involving my child: Emanuella’s recent video that has been circulating on social media.”
The video showed Emanuella in a black dress with a thigh-high slit, which raised conflicting reactions due to her attire.
Acknowledging the misunderstanding, Mark Angel apologised and explained that the outfit was from Emanuella’s elder sister, worn unknowingly.
He clarified, “Unfortunately, she innocently wore inappropriate clothing belonging to one of her elder sisters without our knowledge, posted it on her WhatsApp status…”
Mark Angel criticised the actions of an adult who downloaded and reposted the video without considering the consequences for the child.
