Maurizio Sarri claims Chelsea’s players agree with his assessment that they are ‘difficult to motivate’ following their defeat to Arsenal last weekend.
The Italian was furious with his team after they sunk to a 2-0 loss at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday and publicly criticised their mentality as a group in the wake of the result.
Some have predicted that Sarri’s decision to go public with his views could backfire as it could lose him the support of the players.
But ahead of the second leg of Chelsea’s EFL Cup semi-final against Tottenham on Thursday, Sarri insists he will continue to publicly criticise his players where necessary and has revealed he has already made changes to how the team approach matches in future. Read more
