Ministry arrests three impostors (Guardian)

The Lagos State Ministry of the environment has arrested three environmental impostors who disguised as officials of the ministry to exploit residents in the Lekki/Ajah area of the state.

The suspects, Olusegun Wasiu, Shina Ahmed and Muyiwa Olusegun were apprehended by the enforcement and advocacy team of the ministry following a tip off directed to the Director, Enforcement and Advocacy of the ministry, Dr. Tajudeen Afolabi.

They were alleged to be involved in extorting money from developers and residents.

Speaking on the development, the state Commissioner for the Environment, Mr. Babatunde Durosinmi-Etti urged Lagosians to be careful of individuals who deceive people using fake identification cards stressing that such people do not represent the Lagos State Government. Read more
