There was pandemonium in Onitsha, Anambra State yesterday after a lorry crushed a commercial motorcyclist, popularly known as Okada rider, dragging his motorcycle for some distance before it could stop.
The accident occurred at the Magazine Junction, close to Federal Housing Estate, 3-3, Onitsha.
Sources said the Okada rider was plying the road when it ran into the speeding lorry.
According to eyewitnesses, as soon as the accident occurred, an enraged mob set the vehicle ablaze owing to what they termed reckless driving on the part of the lorry driver. Read more
