Most inmates in Lagos prisons are from Ogun State – Report (Punch)

The Lagos State Criminal Information System, January-March, 2019 edition has identified stealing as the crime for which majority of inmates in the five prisons in the state are being held.

It also identified Ogun as the state of origin of most of the inmates held in the five prisons across Lagos State.

Of the total of 9,044 inmates in the prisons in Lagos State as of March, 422 are from Ogun State.

Oyo State came second with 359 of its indigenes in prisons in Lagos. Read more
