A mother has been given a prison sentence after using the birth of their child to get back at her ex.
Louise Boyce, 30, put her new boyfriend Nathan Leggatt’s name down on her baby’s birth certificate instead of her ex-boyfriend Ashley Sayce.
Leggatt, 34, cried while signing the document telling staff ‘it’s a bit emotional to register the baby’s birth’.
But the court heard Boyce, who is pregnant again, had ‘acted out of spite’ by leaving Ashley off the birth certificate because the pair had a bitter split. Read more
