My 10 immediate promises as a governor – Jimi Agbaje

Optimistic about victory in the Saturday, March 9, 2019 elections, Lagos Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Mr. Jimi Agbaje, has listed the first 10 things he would do as soon as he’s sworn in.

In an interview with out thisislagos, Agbaje, who insisted that he’s the most qualified and prepared of all those gunning for the position of Lagos Governor, added that he would hit the ground running.

Delving into specifics now, the renowned pharmacist and founder of the popular JayKay Pharmacy stated that his first 100 days in office will see him either accomplishing or initiating the following: Implementing the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) in Lagos State in his first 30 days as Governor; Removing parked trucks from the streets of Lagos in his first 100 days; Adding 1000 MW of power to the Lagos grid in his first 18 months as Governor; Improving Lagos’ waste management by recycling 30% of its waste by 2023; Devoting 10% of the procurement budget of Lagos State to SMEs run by youth, women and the disabled; Immediate removal of the Lekki Toll Gate and completion of the Lagos coastal road by 2023.

Others, according to him, are: Implementing a zero-pothole policy and upgrade of Lagos’ traffic infrastructure; Providing free basic health care to all civil servants and implementing an opt-in health insurance policy for Lagosians; Making Lagos a top 3 destination in Africa with regards to ‘the ease of doing business’ and finally investing 50% of Lagos’ budget in education in order to build a new army of 21st century teachers.

Maintaining that all these are doable and achievable, Mr. Agbaje is therefore asking all Lagosians to troop to their polling centres on Saturday, March 9, cast their votes for him and all the other PDP candidates and then watch a new and greater Lagos unfold before them.

“Lagos can be better, and I, Jimi Agbaje; I’m assuring all Lagosians that with their support and votes on March 9, we are going to give them that better Lagos. God bless Lagos State and God bless all Lagosians and PDP supporters.”
