The All Progressives Congress House of Representatives candidate for Eti Osa Federal Constituency, Lagos State, Ibrahim Obanikoro, on Monday said his father, Musiliu Obanikoro, is his godfather.
Ibrahim denied that his father was convicted of corruption charges while a minister under the President Goodluck Jonathan administration.
He spoke during a debate organised by MediaHub in conjunction with Pulse Nigeria and British Broadcasting Corporation Pidgin News.
Ibrahim, who claimed to have been running for elective posts since 2011 when he was 29, said godfatherism is an important element of politics. Read more
