Cristiano Ronaldo denies rape claim as ‘fake news (BBC)
Cristiano Ronaldo has dismissed as “fake news” accusations by a US woman who alleges she was raped by the Portuguese footballer in 2009. In an Instagram video, Ronaldo said: “They want to promote [themselves] by [using] my name. A 4-year old baby, Praise Umeasuobi, was reportedly crushed to death by an articulated lorry in Ezinifite village in Aguata local government area of Anambra State. Teenager remanded in prison for ‘defiling’ 9-year-old girl (Nation)
An Ado-Ekiti Chief Magistrates’ Court has remanded in prison a 19-year-old Oladosun Sodiq over alleged defilement. The accused, whose address was not provided, is being tried for defilement. The prosecutor, Insp Johnson Okunade, told the Court that the accused committed the offence on September 15 in Ijero-Ekiti. Read more
