Furious Dad Storms into Wedding of Daughter’s Boyfriend: “You were going to marry my daughter!” (Amomama)
An enraged dad furiously stopped a wedding ceremony from happening after he discovered the groom was two-timing his daughter. Despite his efforts to stop the wedding, all those in attendance were arguing with him to leave and let the couple be.
A father would do anything for their daughter, especially when it comes to giving them what they deserve. No father likes seeing his daughter hurt, even if it means having to absorb all the pain and frustration himself.
It’s common practice for a wedding officiator to say, “speak now or forever hold your peace” at a wedding to give a chance to those who believe a wedding shouldn’t be taking place. However, an angry dad didn’t need to hear that for him to scandalously stop a wedding ceremony from happening in Choluteca, Honduras. Read more

Angela Bassett messaged Ariana DeBose after viral BAFTAs rap (Variety)
Angela Bassett has simply done the thing once again. After being name-dropped by Ariana DeBose in a rap that opened the BAFTA Film Awards, the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever star tells Variety that she reached out to DeBose in the aftermath to check in on her.
“I DM’d her last night. I did. It was beautiful,” Bassett told Variety senior entertainment writer Angelique Jackson on the red carpet at the NAACP Image Awards on Saturday evening. “I just wanted to make sure she was okay because, you know, it’s a lot of attention. And she is A-Okay.”
Bassett’s mention was one of the catchier lyrics in DeBose’s opener. DeBose, who won last year’s BAFTA and Academy Award for best supporting actress for her performance in West Side Story, kicked off the British Academy Film Awards on Feb. 19 with a rap that name-dropped several of the evening’s nominees, including directors honored in debut feature and women competing in both the lead actress and supporting actress categories. Everything Everywhere All at Once named Best Picture at Producers Guild Awards (TheWrap)
Everything Everywhere All at Once has been named the best-produced film of 2022 at the Producers Guild Awards, which were held on Saturday evening in Los Angeles.
The freewheeling indie film won in a category that also included the formidable blockbusters Top Gun: Maverick, Elvis and Avatar: The Way of Water. The PGA had been a must-win awards show for Top Gun, and the fact that Everything Everywhere won is reminiscent of the low-budget CODA winning this award last year on its way to an unlikely Oscar Best Picture win.
The Producers Guild is also the only other awards show apart from the Oscars that uses the preferential or ranked-choice system of counting the votes in its top category. That system is designed to find a consensus choice, and the biggest question surrounding Everything Everywhere All at Once has been whether it was too polarizing to win under that system. Read more
