National Orientation Agency launches innovative AI-powered website

The National Orientation Agency (NOA) has launched a groundbreaking AI-powered website, set to revolutionise citizen engagement in Nigeria. 

This Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) web app offers an immersive experience, allowing users to explore Nigeria like never before. The AI Voice/Chat Assistant, CLHEEAN, provides real-time information on government policies, programmes and projects. 

Citizen engagement is now more effortless than ever, with the NOA’s web app delivering a seamless experience that unlocks a world of information, resources, and opportunities. The website: https://www.noa.gov.ng contains the latest government initiatives and historical insights on the country.

The website features

CLHEEAN, the AI assistant from NOA, which provides users with comprehensive information on policies, programmes and initiatives. There is also The Curator, which uses AI to maintain and continuously update demographic database; National hackathons in the form of virtual hackathons to engage young Nigerians at home and in the diaspora, as well as Insight Data, which is tailored to reach the highest number of Nigerians and The Mobilizer App that involves the younger demographic, among others.

Since his appointment on October 23, 2023, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, director general of the NOA, has led efforts to enhance public understanding of government policies. 

The NOA, established by Decree 100 of 1993, aims to mobilise public opinion, foster respect for authority, and instil national pride. Key objectives include promoting government programmes, encouraging feedback and instilling patriotism.

The agency focuses on raising awareness, providing credible feedback, and influencing attitudes positively. It aims to inform citizens accurately and mobilise them to promote national development, peace, and harmony.

With over 5,000 staff members and 812 on-site offices across all 774 LGAs, the NOA has a profound presence in every corner of Nigeria.
