News Express Publisher’s son quits bachelorhood

It was a day of pomp and pageantry as Engr Odinakachi Umunna, son of News Express Publisher, Isaac Umunna, quit bachelorhood on Saturday, October 10, 2020.

He tied the knot with the love of his life, Miss Reside Igoche, in Otukpo, Benue State.

In keeping with COVID-19 protocols, guests had their temperature checked, were made to sanitise their hands and given customised facemasks before being allowed into the event venue.

Only those who had the customised access card were allowed into the venue. In the Marriage Discourse entitled “Honourable Marriage in God’s Sight”, the Officiating Minister, Bro Tokni Dinyain, an ordained minister of Jehovah Witnesses, advised the new couple to work hard to make their marriage a success, adding that one sure way to achieve that is to make God the third partner in their marriage.

The Wedding Reception chaired by Bro Jacob Adewumi, another ordained minister of Jehovah Witnesses, witnessed electrifying moments, including contemporary dances and a pulsating performance by an Idoma traditional dance troupe. Guests came from several parts of the country.

Among them were legal luminaries, top bankers, businessmen and women, as well as media chiefs.

The Reception climaxed the three-day wedding ceremonies, which began on Thursday with the registration of the marriage in Makurdi, the Benue State capital, before shifting to the Otukpo residence of the bride’s father, Barrister Edo Igoche, for the payment of the bride price on the eve of the ‘white wedding’.
