Nigeria ministers ‘rush’ Zainab Ahmed, finance ministry overseer, at FEC meeting

Nigeria ministers shortly before the commencement of the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting, presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari Wednesday, were seen milling around Zainab Ahmed, the minister overseeing the Ministry of Finance, according to Sunnews report.

President Muhammadu Buhari, last Friday, accepted the resignation of the Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun.

Adeosun had resigned over the fake exemption National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate she presented to the National Assembly for screening.

Ahmed, who was congratulated by her colleagues on her new assignment, was led to her new seat by Minister of Defence Monsur Dan-Ali, Minister of State for Agriculture and Rural Development, Heineken Lokpobiri and the Minister of water resources, Mohammed Bello.

She was seen engaging with ministers of Agriculture, Abdu Ogbeh, Minister of Budget and National Planning, Udoma Udo Udoma and the Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami.

The Minister for Power, Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola and the Minister of Industry, Trade Abe Investment, Okechukwu Enelamah, said the Muslim and Christian prayers, respectively.
