Nigeria’s coronavirus cases rise to 2,802

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) Monday night confirmed 245 new cases of COVID-19 bringing the total number in the country to 2,802.

NCDC tweeted at about midnight that 76 of the new cases were confirmed in Lagos, 37 in Katsina, 32 in Jigawa, 23 in Kano, 19 in Nigeria’s capital city Abuja, 18 in Borno and 10 in Edo.

Bauchi (9), Adamawa (6), Oyo (5), Ogun (5), Ekiti (1), Osun (1), Benue (1), Niger (1) and Zamfara (1) complete the list of 2,802 confirmed cases.

“Four hundred and seven have been discharged with 93 deaths,” it added.
