The defence team of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu, has dropped its push to have a former Governor of Abia State Orji Kalu appear before the Federal High Court in Abuja and testify about the whereabouts of the Biafran activist, The PUNCH has learnt.
This, it was learnt, was due to Kanu’s surprised emergence in an online video clip reportedly showing him praying in Israel.
The Federal Government was prosecuting Kanu and others on charges of treasonable felony at the Federal High Court in Abuja before he became missing since September 14, 2017 following a military invasion of his home in Afara-Ukwu in Umuahia, Abia State.
