Ahmed Tinubu, National Leader of All Progressives Congress, APC, and former Lagos State Governor, Tuesday, said former President Olusegun Obasanjo has failed as a leader during his tenure and lacked the credibility to speak for Nigerians on who to vote for in the forthcoming 2019 general elections and can not stop the incumbent President, Muhamamdu Buhari’s victory.
The APC leader, made the remarks, at a stakeholders’ and consultative meeting of APC chieftains, leaders, and members, held at the party’s Secretariat, Acme, Ogba, Lagos State.
Obasanjo had recently in statement, asked President Buhari not to seek re-election, citing his “poor performance” in office. Obasanjo spoke of poverty and insecurity in Nigeria as well as, Buhari’s poor economic management, nepotism and gross dereliction of duty.
