Gov. Ahmed Ododo of Kogi has extended his heartfelt felicitations to the former Gov. of the state, Capt. Idris Wada, on his 74th birthday.
In a statement on Monday in Lokoja by his media aide, Ismaila Isah, Ododo described Wada as an exemplary leader, whose exceptional vision and humility are widely admired.
The governor highlighted Wada’s steadfast commitment to the service of God and humanity, praising his significant contributions to the development of Kogi during his tenure as governor from January 2011 to January 2016.
“Sir, your enduring legacies, invaluable guidance, and wise counsel will continue to inspire the younger generation of leaders.
“As you mark another year, I wish you a joyous celebration and pray for long life and good health, so that you can continue to enrich and inspire more lives in your service to the nation and humanity,” Ododo prayed.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Wada was born on Aug. 26, 1950, in Dekina Local Government Area of the state.
His legacies span a distinguished career as an accomplished pilot and administrator in the Nigerian Aviation industry, and a remarkable tenure as the governor of Kogi State. (NAN)
