The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council on Friday deplored the order by Governor Emeka Ihedioha of Imo State that the people of the state should arrest his predecessor, Senator Rochas Okorocha and warned that the statement was capable of sparking anarchy. No fewer than 57 sailors have been arrested in Rivers by the Nigerian Navy for allegedly smuggling crude oil and illegally refining diesel. Girl, 9, tests positive for Ebola in Uganda (Guardian)

A nine-year-old girl who had travelled from the Democratic Republic of Congo has been found to have Ebola, authorities in Uganda said on Thursday. The child, who is of Congolese origin, was diagnosed after exhibiting symptoms at a border crossing in the southwestern Kasese district on Wednesday. Rotherham rape gang jailed for total of 63 years (Metro)

Five men have been jailed for a string of sex offences relating to the sexual exploitation of teenage girls in Rotherham more than a decade ago. Aftab Hussain, 40, was sentenced to 24 years in prison, and Abid Saddiq, 38, to 20 years by the judge at Sheffield Crown Court.
