Rochas Okorocha, the governor of Imo State on Monday swore in 27 Local Government Areas’ chairmen who won the local polls on Saturday.
This is coming less than 12 hours that the chairman of the Imo state Independent Electoral Commission, Ethelbert Ibebuchi, declared the All Progressive Congress candidates winners of all the council seats.
APC equally won 636 councillorship positions, while the Accord, Kowa, Rebuild Nigeria, and People’s Redemption Party won four seats.
Elections in four wards were declared inconclusive because of what Ibebuchi described as electoral irregularities.
