Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ed Woodward disagree over Paul Pogba’s future at Manchester United (Metro)

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is open to letting Paul Pogba leave this summer if he decides he no longer wants to play for the club.

The Frenchman is believed to be keen on a move to Real Madrid and United’s failure to qualify for the Champions League is only likely to increase his desire to move to the Bernabeu.

United paid a then-world record £89m fee for Pogba in 2016 and executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward views the midfielder as an important symbol of United’s worldwide appeal.

Woodward blocked Pogba from joining Barcelona last summer when the Frenchman fell out with Jose Mourinho. Read more
