Ole Gunnar Solskjaer revealed he was making notes on Sir Alex Ferguson’s managerial style towards the end of his time as a player at Manchester United and has already been in touch with his former boss to discuss the job at hand.
Solskjaer won the Champions League and Premier League under Fergie in a trophy-laden spell at Old Trafford, and has now returned to the club by replacing Jose Mourinho as manager.
The Norweigian arrives at a turbulent time in Manchester, with United 19 points behind bitter rivals Liverpool in the Premier League, 11 points off Chelsea in the final Champions League spot and with a fractured squad who had become divided under the former boss.
