Olivia Colman has won her first Oscar – and as expected, gave one of the speeches of the night.
The British actress beat bookies’ favourite Glenn Close to the Best Actress award, as she won for her role of Queen Anne in The Favourite.
The 45-year-old said: ‘It’s genuinely quite stressful. This is hilarious! I got an Oscar!’
She said that anyone she forgot to thank, she would give a ‘snog’ later, before thanking Emma Stone and Rachel Weisz: ‘The two loveliest women in the world to fall in love with. You can imagine, it wasn’t hardship.’ Read more
