OPC warns Epe monarch against further attacks on members (Punch)

A faction of the Oodua People’s Congress has asked the Lagos State Council of Obas and Chiefs to warn the Elepe of Epe, Oba Kamorudeen Animasaun, to desist from allegedly supporting hoodlums and members of the Gani Adams-led OPC to attack innocent cadets.

The President of the aggrieved OPC faction, Rasak Arogundade, gave the warning in his petition to the Lagos Council of Obas and Chiefs, a copy of which was made available to SUNDAY PUNCH on Saturday.

Arogundade accused the monarch of bias and threatened that his group would fight back if the attackers, allegedly backed by the monarch, did not stop their attacks, saying this could throw Epeland into avoidable anarchy.

The petition stated in part, “It is for this reason that we seek your urgent intervention to advise one of your erring members, Oba Kamorudeen Animasaun, to desist before he completely desecrates the royal stool he sits on and throws Epeland into a state of anarchy by his actions. Read more
