Osaru Obaseki will on Sunday, February 3, 2019 bring her Sand Writing expertise to Rele Gallery at Onikan in Lagos. The self-taught artist, the gallery said, experiments with a combination of sand and acrylic as a way of synergising two different civilisations – the ancient and the modern.
Rele further invites the general public to be there from 2 – 6pm, when Obaseki reveals insight into her technique and shares her creative process.
The gallery only last Sunday provided an amazing time when it introduced the kids in the Obalende area to a world of visual arts via interactive drawing and painting activities at the community service championed by the exhibiting Young Contemporaries; Fidelis Joseph, Tonia Nneji, Osaze Amadasun, Abe Ogunlende, Osaru Obaseki and Stephen Tayo.
The Young Contemporaries exhibition is on till March 3.
