Osinbajo and Sanwo-olu at Pastor Nomthi’s “Night of Tributes”

The Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo and Mr. Governor Jide Sanwaolu ot Lagos state are among dignitaries, pastors, family members and Nigerians who have thronged the Ilupeju headquarters of Fountain of Life church for the night of tributes in memory of Pastor Nomthi Odukoya.

Pastor Rosemary Simangele Nomthandazo Odukoya, the South African born wife of Pastor Taiwo Odukoya passed away on November 9, 2021 after a battle with cancer

The ongoing Night of Tributes has seen an outpouring of commendations and praise.

The first reading was taken by her son, Timilehin who read from 2Corinthians 4:7-10.

A specially produced audio-visual biography was presented. It chronicled her life from South Africa to The UK and then Nigeria following her marriage to Pastor Taiwo.

She was born in South Africa on May 30, 1974 and moved to the UK in 2002 where she worked as a teacher

Mother of two boys, she was a best selling author of seven books. Her book, No, Don’t Touch Me There focused on teaching children to avoid sexual assault.

A pastor and leader she was active in The Fountain of Life Church and was known for her catch phrase “Enjoy your life!”

In bidding her farewell, her family, friends and loved ones are fully persuaded that “Hallelujah will not finish in her mouth.”
