‘Owing ex-Airways retirees, crime against humanity’ (DailyTrust)

An aviation veteran and former director of Operations of the defunct Nigeria Airways, Capt. Dele Ore, says refusal to settle the severance packages of the retirees is a crime against humanity.

This is even as President of Aviation Round Table (ART), Dr. Gabriel Olowo, flayed the Federal Government for earmarking N8.5bn for the suspended national carrier project in the 2019 budget proposal to the National Assembly.

Ore spoke yesterday in Lagos at the launch of his book “The Learned Commander” to commemorate his 76th birthday anniversary.

He lauded President Muhammadu Buhari for approving part payment of the entitlements which he said enabled him to present one of his many books.

He insisted that a huge part of his entitlements was yet to be paid having retired before the liquidation, as he is supposed to be receiving pension. Read more
