Plastic surgeon on standby to get Tyson Fury ready for Deontay Wilder rematch (Metro)

Tyson Fury has a plastic surgeon on ‘standby’ should he need an operation to mend his heavily stitched face in order to be ready for a highly-anticipated rematch with Deontay Wilder.

‘The Gypsy King’ required 47 stitches on two cuts over his right eye after taking a solid left hand from unfancied Swede Otto Wallin in the third round of their Las Vegas bout – leaving him with blood streaming down his face during the rest of the fight.

Although Fury survived 12 rounds to keep hopes of a rematch with Wilder – who is still set to face Luiz Ortiz in November – alive but his promoter Frank Warren remains concerned about the recovery time needed for the Mancunian heavyweight. Read more
