The Rivers State Police Command says it is investigating the disappearance of a National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) member in the state.
The young man, Yahya Faruq who is a native of Warrake in Edo state was serving at the Mixed Secondary School in Ikuru Town, Andoni Local Government Area of Rivers State before his mysterious disappearance on the 14th of October 2024.
A statement released by the Muslim Students Society of Nigeria called on the public to help unravel the circumstances surrounding his disappearance from his part-time workplace, LDM Chinese Milling Company.
When our correspondent contacted the State Police Command, the spokesperson Grace Iringe-Koko said in a statement that they were aware of Faruq’s disappearance, and had launched an investigation into the matter.
The statement added that some of the management staff of the Chinese Milling Company have been taken in for questioning. (Channels)
