The Nigeria Police Force has launched an investigation into the unlawful arrest and detention of Mrs. Rofiat Oladipo, wife to the administrative head of Ede Muslim Grammar School; and her nine-month-old baby at the Zone II Command in Osogbo.
Oladipo was and detained for several days when the Police could not find her husband.
She was subsequently released with her baby and hospitalised afterwards for an illness she reportedly developed while in detention.
Human rights activist, Dr. Joe Okei-Odumakin, who led a protest to the Police Command on Monday, condemned the incident. Read more
