The Lagos State Police Command says it has foiled an attempted bank robbery by a suspected team of robbers in Ejigbo area of the state and arrested its ring leader with his arms. The command’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Bala Elkana, stated this on Sunday in a statement. Elkana said that on Aug. 9, at about 9. 45a.m, the Ejigbo Police Station received a distress call that some armed robbers on motorcycles were operating outside Access Bank along Egbe Road by NNPC Junction at Ejigbo. Family forced to flee through windows after fire ravages house in arson attack (Metro)

Four people were forced to escape through windows after their house was deliberately set on fire in an arson attack this morning. A woman, a teenage boy, 17, and two girls, 16 and 11, are being treated in hospital after a blaze destroyed the house in Heckmodwike, West Yorkshire at just after 4am. A man who sexually assaulted a woman as she slept after a night out has been jailed for three years.
