Assistant Inspector General (AIG) of Police coordinating the 2019 general elections in the Lagos State David Folarinwo has unveiled plan by the police to strengthen security to ensure a hitch-free governorship and House of Assembly elections.
This is coming after the presidential and National Assembly elections, which was held on the 23 February.
The presidential elections, it was gathered, did not go down well as reports had it there were pockets of crisis in some parts of the state, including snatching of ballot boxes.
In Okota area of the state, hoodlums had attempted to snatch the ballot boxes, resulting to fighting and inflicting injuries to the perpetrators. Read more
