Pray for us, Adelaja appeals as Russia shells Ukraine

Founder and Senior Pastor of the Embassy of the Blessed Kingdom of God for All Nations, the largest christian denomination in Kyiv, Dr Sunday Adelaja, has urged Nigerians to pray for Ukraine.

Adelaja made the appeal on his verified Facebook page shortly after Ukraine was invaded and hit by Russian Troops.

The Nation reports Russia in the early hours of Thursday bombed Ukraine despite pleas and warning from NATO countries.

In a statement shared on his personal Facebook page, the Pastor asked the world to pray for peace in Ukraine.

He said they have been forced to remain indoors, reporting he could hear bombs from his residence.

The statement reads: “Hello Dear Friends, while we still have access to the internet here in Ukraine, since no more telephone communication is possible within Ukraine, I would like to use this opportunity to send out this message to our friends and families all over the world.

“From my house here in Kiev I could hear bombs and loud sounds of shelling. We are in the midst of a total war with Russia.”

Adelaja however noted that he’s staying safe at home, praying and believing God for the best.

“We stand in faith, we stand in God, we put our trust in his promises, while we hope for the best.

“We ask the world to pray for Ukraine

Pray for peace, Pray for Russia, Pray for world leaders, Especially for the president of Russia, Ukraine, USA.” (Nation)
