Prince Harry stung by bumblebee in first outing at Buckingham Palace (Dailymail)

Prince Harry was interrupted by a rogue bumblebee as he praised his ‘selfless’ father in a heartfelt speech to mark his birthday.

The Prince of Wales, who will turn 70 later this year, was joined by guests including his wife Camilla and the newlywed Duke and Duchess of Sussex at a garden party held in his honour on Tuesday afternoon.

In a speech, Harry told his father: ‘It is your selfless drive to effect change – whether that is to improve the lives of those who are on the wrong path, to save an important piece of our natural heritage, or to protect a particular species under threat – which William and I draw inspiration from every day.’ The crowd then erupted into fits of laughter after Harry was attacked by an insect, joking: ‘I’m sorry, that bee really got me.’ Read more
