Princess Bridget Adetope Tychus, a prominent figure from Lagos, Nigeria, has been elected to serve a two-year term (2024-2026) as an international director of Lions International for Africa.
The prestigious event, the 106th International Convention of the organisation, was held in Melbourne, Australia, from June 21-25, 2024.
According to a statement, this election marks a significant milestone in Princess Tychus’s illustrious career, which spans over four decades of dedicated service to Lions International. Her journey with the organisation began in 1983 when she joined the Satellite Central Lioness Club, and her commitment has only grown stronger since then.
Princess Tychus brings a wealth of experience to her new role. As an executive leader, she has successfully navigated various sectors, including media, government, corporate businesses and non-profit organisations. Her current position on the Board of Directors at Apex Tech Incorporated showcases her expertise in strategic planning and emerging market penetration.
Throughout her tenure with Lions International, Princess Tychus has held numerous leadership positions, including club president, council chairperson and Nigerian Lions’ Charity Foundation Chairman. Her dedication has earned her multiple accolades, such as the International President’s Award and the 100% District Governor’s Award.
Beyond her professional achievements, Princess Tychus is known for her commitment to lifelong learning and global citizenship. She is an avid reader, world traveller, and holds the esteemed title of Knight of John Wesley in the Methodist Church Nigeria.
The newly elected director’s family, including her husband, Sir Adesina Tychus, a Past Zone Chair, has been a pillar of support throughout her journey. Married since 1977, the couple has three children and nine grandchildren.
