Queen Elizabeth just had the Palace release a formal message to Donald Trump (InStyle)

Much was said about Queen Elizabeth and Donald Trump’s July meeting at Windsor Castle (did he really make her wait?) but it must’ve ended on at least a neutral note, because she’s reaching out to him through Buckingham Palace. The monarch released a statement addressed to Trump early Saturday morning, and she weighed in on the California wildfires that have devastated the area and left 1,000 missing.

 

“Prince Philip and I offer our deepest sympathies to the people of California, who continue to suffer from the devastating fires across the state,” she wrote.

 

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of the victims, and to all those who have lost their homes and livelihoods. I pay tribute to the courage and dedication of the U.S. emergency services and the volunteers that have provided support.” Read more
