Rami Malek hesitant to take on James Bond villain over fears he’d be ‘religious terrorist’ (Metro)

After taking on the role of the latest villain in James Bond, Rami Malek has admitted he was hesitant to accept the part.

The next spin in the long-running franchise is currently being filmed with Daniel Craig taking on the suited and booted secret agent once more.

And now Oscar-winning actor Rami has admitted he felt a little trepidation at the thought of being cast as a ‘religious fundamentalist’ or ‘Arab-speaking terrorist’.

Rami is of Egyptian heritage and asked for confirmation from Bond 25 director Cary Fukunaga that wouldn’t be the fabric of his character. Read more
