Ray Winstone joins Scarlett Johansson in Marvel’s Black Widow (Metro)

Ray Winstone is set to join the cast of the upcoming movie Black Widow, sources have revealed.

The 62-year-old actor, who is known for his roles in Sexy Beast and The Departed, will appear in the upcoming Marvel project, alongside stars such as Florence Pugh and David Harbour. Other actors that have been linked include Rachel Weisz, O. T. Fagbenle and Emma Watson, with her potential part described as a ‘kick-ass James Bond’.

There is no word yet on what role Ray will have in the movie, and Marvel has yet to comment publicity on the cast.

The film, written by Jac Schaeffer, stars Scarlett Johansson as the titular character. Scarlett has previously played the role of Black Widow in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, starting with Iron Man 2 in 2010, and Marvel feels it is now the time for the character to receive her own motion picture.
