Remita facilitates seamless 2024 JAMB registration with enhanced commissions for agents and schools

In a bid to empower aspiring students across Nigeria, Remita, a leading indigenous payment company, has kicked off the sale of 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) and Direct Entry (DE) ePINs, providing a user-friendly registration process. Recognising the pivotal role admission plays in shaping career trajectories, Remita aims to simplify the journey for prospective students.

The Joint Admission and Matriculations Board (JAMB) recently announced the commencement of ePIN sales for the 2024 UTME and DE registrations on Monday, January 8, 2024. The sales window is set to close on Monday, February 24, 2024, urging candidates to act promptly.

Chinedu Alisa, the Retail Manager at Remita, highlighted the commitment to aiding academic dreams: “We are proud to play a part in helping prospective students take control of their academic journeys.” The Remita platform promises a hassle-free registration process with multiple payment options, including bank transfer, debit or credit card, USSD, eNaira, mobile wallet, bank account, and internet banking.

To purchase ePINs, candidates are required to register with their National Identification Number (NIN) via SMS to 55019 or 66019, receiving a 10-digit profile code. This code is then used on the Remita website, where candidates input their details and complete payment. The ePIN is subsequently delivered to the candidate’s registered phone number and displayed on their Remita receipt.

In a strategic move to enhance accessibility, Remita has expanded payment options to include Remita agents, bank branches, and the JAMB’s e-facility website. The platform also empowers agents, schools, and partnering organizations with increased commissions for reselling JAMB ePINs, ensuring a mutually beneficial relationship.

Alisa cautioned against selling ePINs above the approved price, emphasizing strict consequences for violators. “Any agent caught will immediately be blacklisted from the system and handed over to the authorities.”

As the UTME ePIN sales draw to a close on February 24, 2024, Remita encourages prospective students to utilize their platform, providing a gateway to a brighter academic future.
