Alhaji Nasiru Sule-Garo, a member of the House of Representatives representing Gwarzo/Kabo Federal Constituency, Kano State, has defeated his younger brother to clinch the House of Representatives ticket on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party.
Sule-Garo, who is an elder brother to Kwankwaso’s wife, defeated his sibling, Faruk Sule-Garo in the party’s primary election.
Announcing the result of the election, the returning officer, Dr. Salisu Muhammadu Tudunkaya, said Nasiru polled 173 votes to defeat his brother, Faruk who got 12 votes.
He explained that 198 accredited delegates participated in the voting, adding that 13 votes were declared invalid. Read more
